What Is Cloudflare?
Cloudflare is a global network that sits between your website and its visitors, run by Cloudflare, Inc., a company founded in 2009 and based in San Francisco. Visitors connect to a nearby Cloudflare data center, in one of hundreds of cities that include Istanbul, Dubai and London, rather than going straight to the server where your site is hosted.
Its core services work together. DNS, the internet's address book, points your domain name to the right server and email service. The CDN, or content delivery network, keeps copies of images, stylesheets and scripts in those data centers so pages load faster. An SSL certificate encrypts the connection, DDoS protection absorbs floods of fake traffic meant to knock a site offline, a firewall filters suspicious requests, and rules control caching, redirects and bot traffic.
Cloudflare has a free plan that includes DNS, the CDN, a free SSL certificate, DDoS protection with no limit on attack size and a basic web application firewall. Paid plans such as Pro and Business add more advanced security and performance features. Its Turnstile service, a free alternative to CAPTCHA, protects forms from spam without making visitors solve picture puzzles.
Where We Use Cloudflare
Every site we launch is hosted behind Cloudflare. These are the jobs it does for you:
DNS and Domain Settings
We manage your domain's records in one clear panel: the website, subdomains and email records such as SPF, DKIM and DMARC, which help your messages land in inboxes rather than spam folders.
Fast Pages Everywhere
Images, stylesheets and scripts are cached in data centers near your visitors, so a page opens quickly whether it's requested from Istanbul, Dubai or London. Caching rules decide what is stored and for how long.
Security and SSL
Every page is served over HTTPS with a free certificate. DDoS protection, firewall rules and bot controls stop malicious traffic before it reaches the server, and Turnstile keeps spam out of your forms.
Redirects for Migrations
When a new site replaces an old one, we set up redirect rules so old addresses lead to the right new pages, and visitors, search engines and links from other sites don't hit dead ends.
Why Cloudflare?
Close to Your Visitors
For a site read in Türkiye, the Gulf and Europe, distance matters. Cloudflare serves content from data centers in all three regions, so visitors don't wait for every request to cross continents.
Protection from Day One
Free SSL, DDoS protection and a web application firewall come with every plan, including the free one. Your server's address is also hidden behind the network, which makes direct attacks harder.
One Panel, Many Jobs
DNS, certificates, caching, security rules and redirects are managed in one place. Fewer separate services means fewer things to keep track of, and changes take effect quickly.
How We Work on Your Project
Before launch we add your domain to Cloudflare and carefully copy the existing DNS records, especially the email ones, so nothing stops working. Then we switch the domain's nameservers at your registrar, turn on the “Full (strict)” SSL mode, which also encrypts and verifies the connection between Cloudflare and your server, and set caching and security rules to suit the site.
Before going live we check that every page opens over HTTPS, redirects lead where they should, forms aren't blocked by security rules and email still flows. We measure speed with PageSpeed Insights and keep the Cloudflare account in your company's name, with our team added as members.
