What Is Semrush?
Semrush is an SEO and marketing research platform from the company of the same name, founded in 2008 and based in Boston. Adobe completed its acquisition of Semrush in 2026, and the platform continues under the Semrush name. Type in a domain or a keyword and it shows estimated data on search volume, competition, rankings and links.
Its tools are grouped into toolkits. On the SEO side, Keyword Magic Tool generates keyword ideas, Keyword Gap shows the difference between you and your competitors, Site Audit scans a site for technical errors and Position Tracking follows your rankings for chosen keywords day by day. Other tools cover backlinks, advertising research and local SEO, and newer ones track how brands appear in AI-powered search answers.
Semrush is a paid subscription service, with a free account that allows a limited number of queries and a short free trial for most toolkits. Its data is split into country databases, with separate ones for Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Search volumes and traffic figures are estimates: useful for finding direction, not for exact measurement.
Where We Use Semrush
Semrush is one of the first tools we open when planning SEO, and we use it most for these jobs:
Keyword Research
For each market and language we find the searches people really use: Turkish for Türkiye, Arabic and English for the UAE. We then group them by intent, from questions to comparisons to buying.
Competitor and Backlink Analysis
We look at which searches your competitors appear in, which of their pages bring visitors and which sites link to them, to find the gaps your content can fill.
Technical Site Audit
Site Audit scans for broken links, redirect chains, missing titles and language tag (hreflang) errors. We sort the findings by impact and fix the important ones first.
Rank Tracking and Ad Keywords
Position Tracking follows chosen keywords by city and device. The same keyword data helps us pick Google Ads keywords and see how crowded the competition is before any budget is spent.
Why Semrush?
A View of the Competition
Search Console shows only your own site; Semrush also gives estimated data on your competitors' sites, so we see the whole field.
Data by Market
Separate databases for Türkiye and the UAE mean plans for Istanbul and Dubai rest on local search behavior, not assumptions.
Everything in One Place
Keyword, technical, backlink and ranking data sit on one platform, which makes it easier to turn them into a single, clear plan.
How We Work on Your Project
First we talk about your business, your target markets and your competitors. Then we study keywords and competitor visibility in Semrush, scan the site for technical issues and turn the findings into a page-by-page content and SEO plan.
Before acting on the plan we compare Semrush's estimates with the real data in Search Console and GA4. Then we track rankings for the chosen keywords regularly and share progress in clear, plain reports.
