Overview
If your marketing team manages measurement tags in Google Tag Manager, the assistant should fit into that setup. The MHS Links AI web assistant sends steps such as opening the chat, creating a lead, and booking an appointment to your site’s dataLayer as events.
You can use these events as triggers in GTM and connect them to your GA4, Google Ads, Meta, or LinkedIn tags. You can also publish the assistant’s code directly through GTM if you prefer.
What You Can Do
Ready-Made dataLayer Events
Steps such as opening the chat, the first message, leads, and appointments are sent to the dataLayer under clear names.
Works with Any Tool
You connect the events to your GA4, Google Ads, Meta, or LinkedIn tags with your own triggers.
Install with GTM
The assistant’s code can be published with a tag in GTM, without touching your site’s source code.
No Personal Data
dataLayer events contain no personal information such as names, phone numbers, or email addresses.
Setup Steps
- 01
Agree on the Event List
Based on your measurement plan, we confirm which assistant steps are sent to the dataLayer, and under which names.
- 02
Set Up the Triggers
Custom event triggers are created for these events in GTM; we do the configuration together with your team.
- 03
Connect Your Tags
The triggers are connected to the tags of GA4, Google Ads, Meta, or the other tools you use.
- 04
Test and Go Live
Events and tags are checked in GTM’s preview mode, and the container is published once you approve.
Requirements
- A Google Tag Manager container installed on your site and permission to publish it
- The MHS Links AI web assistant running on your site
- A cookie consent solution that manages visitor consent on your site
Data and Security
- dataLayer events contain no personal information, only measurement details such as the step and page.
- Which consent each tag needs is set by the consent settings in your GTM container.
- The assistant answers only from the information you upload. When it doesn’t know something, it doesn’t make things up; it hands the conversation to your team.

Which Plans Include It?
This integration is planned as part of your setup, based on your needs. We’ll work out together during setup which plan it’s added to and how.
Write to usFrequently Asked Questions
The GA4 integration sends events directly to your GA4 property. The GTM integration places the events in the dataLayer, and you manage in GTM which tool receives them and how.
Yes. We set the event names together during setup to fit your measurement plan.
No. You can also add the code to your site directly; GTM is just one option. Either way, the events are sent to the dataLayer.
